Abstract

Heritage education is a topic addressed at various educational levels, incorporating new scientific concepts and strategies around cultural heritage. This article aims to design the heritage education program for students of primary education. As a result, the three components of the program contribute to a cohesive framework that fosters the development of five projects with positive, systematic and multidisciplinary actions, as well as responsible behavior among student groups in the educational and community environment. Furthermore, the program promotes the development of new knowledge, skills and attitudes in the holistic education of students and presents an educational resource to ensure higher quality and more relevant education for life. These elements are based on the documents of the Third Improvement of the National Educational System in Cuba.
