Abstract

This article addresses the experience of a training cycle on food sovereignty from a grassroots and community perspective, developed by the Macollando Cooperative in conjunction with a group of community kitchen leaders in Córdoba (Argentina). Throughout 2022, a record was kept of the educational sessions held at two local farms and a rural residence. Three agroecological learning workshops were conducted, covering a variety of topics. The program created public learning spaces for people to acquire information and knowledge relevant to sustainable development and lifestyles in harmony with the planet, with an emphasis on learning about agroecology and food sovereignty. Participants from the cooperative, as well as those who took part in the training cycle, learned about sustainability, food, and agroecology, becoming part of an ongoing process of reflective and dialogical democratic education.
