LAS ARMAS EN LA FRONTERA DEL RÍO CUARTO (1852-1870)

La historia argentina de la segunda mitad del siglo XIX fue sin duda conflictiva. Dentro de ese marco, se destaca con nitidez el escenario de la frontera con el indio, lugar atravesado por continuos actos de violencia.
Defensa, agresión, vigilancia y castigo, nos permiten entender cómo se expresó ésta cotidianamente. En este contexto, las armas constituyeron instrumentos necesarios para diseminar la violencia y vigilancia. La bibliografía específica señala una suma considerable de armamento (armas de fuego y armas blancas) utilizado por los distintos cuerpos armados.
Nuestro propósito es determinar cuáles de esas armas circularon por la Frontera Sur de la Provincia de Córdoba a partir de un trabajo sistemático de relevamiento de documentos pertenecientes al Archivo Histórico de la Provincia de Córdoba (AHPC). En relación a la circulación, analizamos la fuente del envío y el sitio de destino de dichas armas. De acuerdo a lo anterior, procuramos establecer cuál era el circuito que recorrían en el momento de realizarse su distribución: Gobierno Nacional, Gobierno Provincial, Comandancia General de la Frontera Sud (Río Cuarto), fuertes y fortines de la línea, otros.

Abstract
The Argentine history of the second half of the 19th century was undoubtedly troubled. Inside this frame, is outlined with brightness the scene of the border with the Indian, place crossed by continuous acts of violence. Defense, aggression, vigilance and punishment, they allow us to understand how this one expressed daily. In this context, the weapons were a necessary instruments to spread the violence and vigilante. The specific bibliography indicates a considerable sum of armament (firearms and knifes) used by the different armed bodies. Our purpose is determine which of this weapon circulated along the Border South of the Province of Cordoba from a systematic work of report of documents belonging to the Historical File of the Province of Cordoba (AHPC, initials in spanish). Related with the movement, we analyze the source of the sending and the site of destination of the above mentioned weapon. In agreement to the previous thing, we try to establish which was the circuit that they were crossing in the moment to his distribution be realized: National Government, Provincial Government, General Command of the Border South (Río Cuarto), forts and fortresses of the line, others.
