Resumen

El presente trabajo intenta emprender una descripción del régimen de las imágenes del presente tomando como guía, para ello, El Balcón, de Jean Genet. Recuperando las reflexiones sobre la comedia realizadas por Jacques Lacan a propósito de dicha pieza teatral, Badiou intentará encontrar el registro de la comedia filosófica del presente, indicando el Falo especulativo de nuestro tiempo. En esta línea, Badiou afirma que el símbolo auténtico del presente, nuestro fetiche, lo que cubre de una falsa imagen el poder desnudo sin imagen es la democracia representativa y su organización constitucional. De ahí entonces que, en un intento por sustraerse al poder del poder y liberarse del encadenamiento a las imágenes para poder asir lo que no tiene imagen (el presente del presente y el poder desnudo que libera la imaginería y garantiza su potencia) Badiou proponga como única crítica radical posible, la crítica política de la democracia.

Abstract:
